Talk to the unconscious mind
Hypnosis is a trance state. Most people that I work with, are surprised to learn that not only is it the most natural state we can be in, we actually experience trance states every day. For example, that in between period of not quite being awake or asleep, or when you have found yourself daydreaming.
The experience of hypnosis is similar: neither awake nor asleep and a feeling of almost daydreaming. The added sensation with hypnosis is deep relaxation.
In the talking therapies that I offer, I speak to the conscious mind. Hypnosis bypasses this, speaking directly to the unconscious mind and this can often remove any blocks or obstacles. Furthermore, many issues that people bring to therapy, are sat in their unconscious mind and accessing those issues, experiences, memories and traumas, can be difficult. Hypnosis is a wonderful, gentle and incredibly effective way to communicate with that area of the mind.
It can, amongst other things, work well with breaking habits, helping with relaxation and improving sleep, and also with retaining or recalling memories.
It is important to remember that you are in control at all times. You choose whether or not to be hypnotised, and whether or not to accept or reject any suggestions made whilst in a hypnotic trance.
